It makes complete sense to me. However, I don't think you are going to see this in the news anywhere because this likely is sensitive information. However, I presently believe Trump is being blackmailed by the military and Intelligence agencies in order for him to stay out of jail. It is likely convenient for them to have a figurehead like Trump in order to work in their own best interests that they believe will help this country and prevent harm to the U.S.
However, it is of course debatable if this is going on that the best interests of this country are served by this. But, what it means in real time is that our military right now is in charge and not Trump of our country along with our intelligence agencies.
This is my present belief of what is going on. Trump is somewhat out of the loop regarding military and intelligence right now. Evidence of this is his administration not really knowing where the Aircraft Carrier and missile carrying destroyers actually were the last week or so. So, worldwide press was sent on a wild goose chase so to speak. However, this was in the interests of the U.S. military and U.S. Intelligence for the public to not really know where the carrier and escort missile destroyers actually were.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
