How Texans (especially ou in the country) tend to deal with bank robberies and shootings

This goes back to how people in every state were during the revolutionary war and before but still exists in the culture of Texas where if there is a bank robbery or shootings, Texans will tend to get their guns and go after people like this week in Texas. Like one of the gentlemen said "it's just what you do."

Most of the western United States and many places in the South are still like this where the law is often too far away to count on for anything until 1/2 hour to an hour later often because of distances.

So, you saw how citizens sort of Self Deputize themselves and go after bank robbers or shooters in the moment, call law enforcement on cell phones and tell them what they are doing. This is just a part of Texas life and is also a very common way to be almost everywhere west of the Mississippi River. People in the North East might not understand this because police might be only 1 to 5 to 10 minutes away. But, when you have police up to 1 hour away from something bad that happens citizens have to deputize themselves and go after criminals and if they can shoot them to stop them somehow. This is just what happens because of practicality most places in the western and oftn Southern Parts of the country.

A True story that illustrates this perfectly is in the movie: Hell or High Water (2016)
This movie stars Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster by the way and is a really excellent movie about Texas culture.
