We have all met people who though they might be 50 to 80 years old they never really grew up.
One of the requisites for "growing up" is taking responsibility for everything in your life.
The shooter blamed everyone in his life for his problems. He never grew up and took responsibility for anything really. So, in blaming everyone for his problems he was okay with shooting 26 people and ending his own life. This is not a grown up man.
A grown up man would take responsibility for everything in his life whether he was a victim or not.
A grown up man would take responsibility and if he could not control himself rather than to kill everyone he would take himself out instead. That's what being grown up really means. You not only protect yourselves from others you also protect others from you as well.
If you can't do this then you are not a grown up man or woman.
