President Trump is dressed as a king on the new Time magazine cover
The latest Time magazine cover features an illustration of President Donald Trump gazing at a reflection of himself in which he's dressed up as a monarch, complete with jeweled crown and fur cape.
The picture is accompanied by the text: "KING ME."
In a piece about the cover posted online Thursday, Time said that it's meant to address "the political attacks launched by the White House on Robert Mueller."
Mueller is the special counsel appointed to investigate potential meddling by Russia in the 2016 presidential election. It's long been a sore spot for the president.
Trump has repeatedly called the probe a "witch hunt." This week, Trump also referred to the investigation as "unconstitutional" and insisted that he can pardon himself.
"As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?" Trump wrote on Twitter Monday.
Time's cover illustration is the work of Brooklyn artist Tim O'Brien. His work has appeared on more than two dozen issues of Time dating back to 1989, "with subjects ranging from Pope Benedict XVI to Osama Bin Laden," the magazine said.
He told the publication that the latest cover image "gets to the heart of how he and his legal team have approached this past week and the past 500 days, actually."
O'Brien told the magazine that his biggest decision with this illustration was "whether or not to have him looking at himself or looking at us," O'Brien said. "His eye contact with each reader, each American fits the situation best."
This marks O'Brien's fourth Time cover depicting Trump since he took office last year.
Two of those covers show the president seated behind his Oval Office desk as he's hammered by wind and rain.

As an intuitive I'm pretty sure now Trump is a reincarnation of King George III of England
If you are a student of History you also know he was crazy and a tyrant like Trump who believes
no one has rights but him. And once again he is acting out "The madness of King George III"
My take on Trump is he is getting revenge for what happened to him "personally" as
King George III. NO one is important but him in his world. Only he and his family matter.
Everyone else can just go starve and die!. This is the same King George as before.
We have all changed. He hasn't!
What is really tricky here karmically is that King George's madness created directly
the United States of America. What does him being president do in this same context?
Does this mean he unravels everything gained in the U.S.? or what?
What does this mean for the world besides millions dying of starvation and suicide
and murder and chaos?
If I look forward in time 250 million people die before their time worldwide directly or
indirectly because of Trump's statements and actions. And then 750 million (their
children and Grandchildren worldwide are not born). Also, paradoxically, this prevents
human extinction this century. So, to say Trump is Crazy Wisdom good or bad
is confusing. However, if we don't go extinct at least before 2100 because of Trump
being Trump how do we make sense of that? From my point of view not going
extinct as a human race is a good thing. But, also from my point of view having
Trump as president is a bad thing for now.
This is part of the paradox of actually seeing the future and what it will or can bring!
If you observe time it is all usually some sort of balance which is neither good nor bad
if you observe time through enough eras. So, if you judge Trump now then maybe
you aren't seeing that not going extinct is also a good thing for all our children and
grandchildren down through time.
But then, after 2100 time also has to be altered to keep us alive to 2200, 2300 all
through the next 1 million years or so.
So, it is always a choice. Do we go extinct or do we find a way to live on as a human
race here upon earth and beyond?
