The epicenter was Ridgecrest, Ca. which is out in the desert
And half the town had no power from the quake and the temperature was over 100 degrees today there. Also, houses burned down from the quake which is pretty normal when gas lines are breached in quakes and explosions occur as a direct result. There were no fatalities which is the best thing so far about this 6.4 earthquake because in the past there are almost always fatalities with earthquakes this big around cities. The most likely to die are people on the freeway and freeways collapsing and having no road under them at all and finding themselves flying through the air with no road under them because a bridge collapsed without warning.
