It is also true that we are much less likely to have a nuclear war with Russia during this time at least. However, it is also true that we are MORE likely to have a nuclear war with China. So, in this sense war wise it all balances out and just is harmful to our democracy continuing to exist.
However, nuclear war is bad for everyone, so it is much more likely for terrorists to set off nukes than for nations like China or Russia or the U.S. or Great Britain or France or Israel or Pakistan or India or North Korea or others who secretly have nukes on earth right now.
