Why? It's the same reason I don't own an all electric car which is range and safety. I don't own an all electric car because they are not safe in much the same way if I taped cell phones all over my body that wouldn't be safe either if they were on and receiving a signal. For example, I cringe whenever I see a person who stores their IPhone smartphone or others over their heart because I know this is going to hurt them sooner or later and shorten their lives. I suppose one way to look at this is "maybe they don't want to grow old or maybe when they are old they don't want their brains or hearts to work?"
It's really hard to say. But, for the same reasons I don't want to ride in an All Electric plane unless it is a hybrid that is Gas electric at least for emergencies.
For example, I can see somewhat having a diesel electric plane or even a Gas electric plane but I really don't see the advantage (unless you want more ways to die) to be riding around in an all electric plane (especially if you don't have a parachute available) to escape the thing WHEN there is an emergency.
You notice I said "When" not "if" because "When" there is an emergency is the operative word here (at least at this point).
