I tend to think of EVERY religion as a cult. Why? Because all religions are cults it's just some religions are bigger than others.
"Religions are the opiate of the people". I believe this is true. But, simultaneously "Without religions humans likely would have gone extinct long ago." Why is this?
I think it's because we all need parents to tell us what to do on some level. It's about feeling secure enough to even go to sleep at night. Without some sense of security people just one day might walk off cliffs like lemmings to their doom.
But, religions are a two edged sword that give life and take life.
So, when I tell you that the religion I was raised in was definitely a cult but that also it was the best and the worst thing that ever happened to me maybe you will get what I'm saying to you.
As a child I didn't think too much about it. After all it was my parents religion and I just wanted to be safe and secure and to be fed and tucked in at night and to have people to make the "Boogie men" go away.
So, I didn't think too much about religion except when I had too because it was required of me by my parents.
So, I guess what I'm saying is that religions likely will be much more important to the people who survive all this coronavirus during the next 2 to 5 years here on earth.
And simultaneously science will also be important because if people weren't scientific enough they or their relatives will have already died from Coronavirus too.
So, there is this natural affinity right now of Science and Religion. Where without enough science you are dead and without enough religion you are crazy and possibly dead.
It's kind of like that.
By God's Grace
note: and this is true of all humans on earth during these times I now believe. And it likely is going to be this way for at least the next 10 to 15 years the way all this is going.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
