What creates a Fundamentalist of ANY religion?

Child abuse (physical or mental) and traumas of various kinds creates fundamentalists of all religions.

So, the primary cause of any fundamentalist of any religion is PTSD caused by traumas of one kind or another.

This type of person who has been traumatized then gets extreme about what EVERYONE has to believe or they are BAD people.

And every religion has some people like this and they all tend to be dangerous.

They might be very good intentioned people but they are so emotionally distraught and messed up by their life long traumas that they become dangerous to others in both their religion and also dangerous to the world in general.

Can they be helped?

Sometimes, but not always because of a variety of different factors.

Some people stay the walking wounded the rest of their lives.

For example, worldwide after the coronavirus is over there will be many "Walking Wounded" people from the traumas inflicted upon them by what they had to deal with during these times.

Difficult times create traumas whether it is dealing with the death of one or more loved ones while having to stay home "And think about their deaths" or whatever it is.

So, many many people around the world will be rendered dysfunctional by the after effects of the coronavirus worldwide who were simply not prepared to deal with all the many ramifications of all this.

This was also true by the way of the Great Depression, the Great Recession, World war II, The Spanish Flu, World war I, and to some degree even 9-11 and then the IRaq War and Afghanistan War too.

The biggest single difference in America that I saw growing up was when President Kennedy was assassinated.

Before this trust in government was at around 75% of the average American. Since then only about 11% of the people trust government at all.

Right now there is no trust in the Federal government AT ALL from most people I know here in California. So, we trust our governors and mayors and that's all right now.
