First of all, in many countries around the world only people who are part of the government (sort of like the U.S. in some ways) are being counted. For example, in Trump's White House people can get a test that will come through within 15 minutes any day of the week. But, don't try that in any state capitol in the U.S. because that might not work (unless the state is very rich and Democratic) maybe like California and New York State.
So, it's very easy to be cynical about coronavirus numbers when you know like I do that at the very least (according to the Yale study) that for every 8000 tested deaths from coronavirus there are at least 15,000 untested deaths.
Why?
Because if you don't have health care insurance not only won't you be tested but you likely might die without seeing a doctor or a hospital because you don't have health care insurance.
So, this rate of 8000 tested for every 15,000 untested deaths is a ratio (at least in the U.S.) that you can likely bet your life on.
So, if the U.S. says there are 92,324 deaths from coronavirus like my Phone app says right now that means that 173, 107 plus the 92,324 deaths equals
