My wife wanted me to write stuff of a certain sort while I was away in Santa Barbara

My wife is healing herself now because she has been worried about my health the last year. So, my leaving for awhile to Santa Barbara I guess gave her permission to take care of herself which is really good. She doesn't like people taking care of her in some ways so I have to let her care for herself like this by leaving sometimes.

So, here is some of the stuff I wrote today after buying plants for our new organic Garden so my daughter have fresh food if there is a 2nd or 3rd wave of coronavirus that wipes out the U.S. food supply chain for weeks or months. So, I would advise everyone to grow their veggies and fruit if they can this summer because almost anything can and might happen in the fall until next spring. So, Victory Gardens like they planted in World War II when all the farmers became soldiers and were away at war is a good idea now too.

Here is what I wrote today. It isn't exactly haiku because I don't follow the rules but for me the concept of Haiku is saying things in as few words as possible, which helps people in times of crisis like now. So, when I was divorcing my previous wife and marrying my present wife I wrote a lot of Haiku to try to understand what was happening to me in a really concise way. So, this is an evolution of this kind of thinking to trying to understand extreme experiences like we are all having with the coronavirus worldwide.

Very simplistic and elemental.

Little plants
Happy to come home with us
Giving them water to live and good soil

Little plants
now planted
Make me happy

Watering can
gentle watering
Good

I wrote these today while planting after we bought tomato and honeydew melon and squash and other plants and planted them using the gentle water from a watering can. Because the water pressure is very high here and would damage the plants easily at this stage.

Yesterday I wrote these as a first effort:

Once in a lifetime
do we meet a perfect person
To share our life with
I'm grateful we were both
grown up enough to recognize it

Warm Beach
Daughter and husband
Peace

Wish you were here
to share the warmth of the moment
But also glad
you are taking the time to heal yourself

Gratitude to be alive
gratitude for warmth
gratitude for a wonderful family
