Romancing the Stone (1984)

Web results

Romancing the Stone is likely my favorite Michael Douglas movie of all time. Why? Because his attitude in this movie reminded me both of myself and all my friends back then which is very different than now in many ways. People still had a reckless attitude a lot like the people in World War II that survived that awful thing but it is much rarer now. Because there were no seat belts when we grew up so we were very different than now. Danger was everywhere in our lives and we learned to live with it. But, it is like a previous lifetime for me watching this now but it brings back a lot of nostalgia.  In 1984 I was 36 years old then and married raising 3 kids 10 to 13 years old.
