When you are in a crisis like this one you have to be present for each moment so you can be sure to survive it

It reminds me of an Earthquake or Tornado that never seems to end. A war like in Iraq or Afghanistan or the Viet Nam war or World War II I guess felt like this too where you are having a sort of "Never ending Crisis" that doesn't just go away when you want it to.

There is an Ancient Chinese Curse by the way which goes like this one: "May you live in interesting times".

Well. Interesting times to an ancient Chinese meant war or famine or both because famine often causes wars which also could be the case around the world in the next few years too.

So, when the ancient Chinese said, "May you live in interesting times" they were actually wishing you a completely horrific lifetime.

I think the world is "living through an interesting time right now" don't you?

But, freaking out isn't going to help at all.

For example, my wife has been worried about my health for some time (about a year) so since she is 7 years younger than I and doesn't even have Medicare yet she said to me that she wanted to be the one to do all the shopping because she has a master's degree and two bachelor's degrees and is very detailed about wiping all the food packages down with Lysol wipes and wearing a mask and sometimes rubber gloves to be safe while shopping or putting gasoline in her car and whenever I put gas in my truck I either wear rubber gloves or I use Lysol wipes every single time.

But, while I was in Santa Barbara my daughter and her husband are closer to 30 years old and not 72 like me. From them I learned to go shopping and how to wear a mask and use lysol wipes instead of rubber gloves because they didn't have any. I learned a different version of staying alive and I realized that though my wife wants to protect me that I still have to live and be alive and take a somewhat different attitude.

So now, I'm trying to figure out how I can go to Mt. Shasta and visit friends to where I feel safe. I still don't feel safe flying in a passenger plane so I won't do that. I don't feel safe staying in any hotel right now so I won't do that either. I still won't go inside of any restaurant because I wouldn't feel safe doing that but I might eat outside of a restaurant if there was enough distance between me and someone else.

In other words I've given all this a great deal of thought at this point and am not just another paranoid numb nuts at least at this point.

When everything started people were really scared but you cannot stay there forever. Then my son about a month before the shutdowns started working at a new job so basically he is the only one (actually at a job and not working in sales on commission) working at this point in my family with everything going like it presently is.

So, we all have to make choices of how we are going to deal with all this every single day. There is a saying: "If you are not moving forward you are moving backwards". This is a lot like how life actually is.

There is another saying which for me goes along with this one.

"If you are not living then you are dying."

I also agree with this statement.

How many people trapped in their homes around the U.S. are now Dying but don't realize it?

So, dealing with these issues is important if you want to have a future.

It's all about balance.

No. Coronavirus isn't over. This is going to go on for several years in different stages.

So, you have to see this as a war for your personal survival and a war for your family's survival too.

It's not a war where you have to kill people.

It's a war where you have to outsmart the virus or you and your family might die.

So, good luck outsmarting this virus.

Because if you are not living then you are dying.

This is how I see this anyway.

So, good luck!
