Entresto is much less expensive if you are on Medicare

I remember when theaters were still open and one lady working in the movie theater was complaining about heart problems which seemed similar to the ones I was also experiencing. So, I told her about Entresto. However, later I realized she might be too young to afford Entresto because she didn't look more than 50 or 60 years of age. So, I worried about her after telling her about this medication because I knew even with regular health insurance (if she even had that) that it cost the average person about 600 dollars a month. But, if you are already over 65 and have Medicare it only costs very little like 100 dollars or 300 dollars whatever income bracket you fall into. For some people in Medicare it even might be pretty close to free.

But, there is this "NO Man's Land" between about 40 and 65 where you are sort of on your own and might die before you get on Medicare.

For example, I was paying over 1800 dollars a month for full medical coverage at age 64 and my wife is experiencing the same thing right now. But, most people could not afford this cost of full coverage which is really awful when you are trying to survive from 40 to 65 to get on Medicare.

What actually happens in the U.S. is many many people die between 40 and 64 because they can't afford to stay alive.

This is pretty sad folks what happens to people here if they don't make enough money to be able to stay alive.

For example, I likely would be dead now myself without my present wife and would have died at 50.

Because I was forced to retire at 50 because of having a heart virus from fall of 1998 until May of 1999. During this time if I tried to work I would have died. No questions asked.

So, only because my wife was there for me and still is did I even survive 1998 and 1999 in the first place.

Finding a way to survive past 40 or 50 is pretty tough for most people in the U.S. trying to stay alive.

If you can get full health care coverage if you are over 40 or 45 I would say do it because without it you might not survive to 65 to get Medicare. But, even Medicare costs a minimum of 100 to 200 dollars a month depending upon your income per year. The higher your income the more you are going to pay for Medicare. But, I think the top level might be somewhere between 700 to 1000 a month if you have a really high income.

But, please remember at 64 I had to pay 1800 a month for full medical coverageand  my wife has had to pay that still until she gets on Medicare.

You might ask "Why does it cost so much?" It's about probability within insurance companies. Your rates are going to go up as you age because of the increasing possibilities that you might get really sick in various ways. The probabilities increase with age and so they charge you more for full coverage to the maximum when you are 64 the year before you can go on Medicare.
