The point of enlightenment is the lifting up of mankind into a higher and more useful state of consciousness
For example, poor people around the world often have no choice but to lie for a living. The alternative is to starve and die often. So, whenever possible when you can lift someone up so they don't have to lie to everyone to survive you make the human race and earth a better place to live.
It's easy for us in the U.S. to be high and mighty because we live in likely the wealthiest culture on earth because that is what people in America tend to emphasize, wealth.
But, most of the world isn't like this and people who want opportunities are often beaten down every step forward they take.
So, helping create an environment where people don't have to lie and kill to survive is always a good thing.
But, that doesn't mean someone should be naive while traveling in third world countries where most people are poor either. Because that would be a good way to die horribly.
So, a component to enlightenment is wise right mindful thinking in a compassionate way.
In order to be truly kind one must be strong mentally and physically or it is counterproductive almost always.
So, learning how to be strong so one can get away with being kind and enlightened is a part of the enlightenment process in itself.
