Remember Lieutenant Dan out of the movie "Forrest Gump" who expected to die on the battlefield and was angry with Forrest when Forrest Saved his life? Lieutenant Dan had at least one relative that had died in Every war here in the U.S. since the Revolutionary war.
Is it noble to sacrifice your life for America? My answer would be "Yes!"
In fact if my father hadn't told me that I needed a 4F for blunt Trauma childhood epilepsy I might have been one of those that died over there. But, what did I know I was just an 18 year old kid graduating from high school and being told by my (very good Dad) to fill out my draft card papers in the Post Office and writing down what he told me to say.
So, from my point of view then I expected to die as a soldier in a war simply because I remembered dying so many times before in previous lifetimes in wars back thousands of years here on earth. However, I guess I have much better karma this time so I had a Dad that had me survive it all and not die this time.
God had other plans for me I see now.
Thanks Dad!
