What does a person need to choose to stay alive?

I suppose for many of you this will be a strange question because many people would never take their own lives for 100 or 1000 different reasons. But, for me, this was a relevant question when I was 18 to 25 years of age.

I was always very Self Directed and thought for myself and was never really a follower and always a natural leader even if I was only leading myself at times. Next, I had to learn my personality type did not belong inside of any church or religious organization. Why?

Simply because I'm not a follower. If I see the use I will take orders for the good of the group but outside of that I don't belong in a church or corporation or in the military because I don't take orders unless I see no other useful way forward.

So, I do best as the head of a family and owning my own businesses. That's what I found worked for me that I realized and was able to do in my late 20s. Because unless I was working for myself or my Dad or my family in some way I always hated working for other people. It just was never a good fit for me. I'm just too much of a free thinker and too individualistic and a lot like my father and Grandfather who were also very much rugged individualists too.

So, what do you need to stay alive?

If you are having trouble right now you might need to ask yourselves this question too if you plan to survive all this.
