So, you are starting a blog:

Do you feel competent to protect yourself and your family and friends while creating this blog?

In other words a person shouldn't blog (or drive a car) when intoxicated or on drugs or otherwise in altered states because of health mental or physical.

If you can answer this question and feel competent to ride a bicycle right now or a wheelchair or electric wheelchair without injuring yourself or others then maybe you are competent to protect yourself and others while blogging.

HOWEVER, I would probably not let kids have a blog unless you are supervising what they are saying before they put it online in public view. Hopefully by the time most kids are about 12 to 15 they should realize that what they put online could cause someone's death or suicide. This is important. Because you as a parent will be liable for those deaths (potentially) from what your children blog online or email or text.

So, simply realizing that you could be held liable of someone misuses what you put online might make you more sober in what you are writing.

Like for example,

Resident Alien on the SYFY channel is very fun but also very very adult in the way it is handling things.

So, for example, I wouldn't recommend this program for kids under 12 without an adult to tell them some of the subtleties of what is going on here so they don't get disturbed by this series.

So, if you are above say 15 years of age and a normal person you likely should be able to handle this program and know what to do with it. However, if you are an 8 year old and see this other 8 year old screaming every time he sees the alien face that no one else can this might be very disturbing for any 8 year old who believes everything in this program is real here on earth.

So, this is why I don't recommend this program for everyone even though at age 72 it is now one of my guilty pleasures that I now am sharing with my wife too. She thinks it's weird but very funny.
