We drove and parked in front of Berryvale to get some food items which is next to the Post Office in Mt. Shasta last night just before they closed last night and we noticed about 4 feet of snow that the snow plow had left to one side in the Post office parking lot. Where we are they had hired a snow plow deep onto the land where we are staying in a guest house so I was surprised I could drive all the way to the guest house on the land because it had been plowed. Driving up Interstate 5 you could see the mountain all snow covered almost to Willians, California somewhere between there and Red Bluff all snow covered. Friends had sent pictures of when they had reached Bunny Flat up on the mountain by text message so we could see the snow at 6900 feet up on the mountain before they skied from Bunny down to 7 mile curve on Everitt Memorial Highway on the mountain.
Last February 2020 was the last time there was snow here where we are staying now and then the snow was 2 feet deep and I had to park quite a ways away from the guest house and carry everything while wearing my Sorel high boots through the snow.
I have a pair of the size 15 Caribou's for walking through snow this time of year. They have rubber bottoms and are insulated so your feet stay nice and warm.
