Enlightenment

Enlightenment (from my point of view) is feeling safe enough in your body and mind to face another day on earth without running screaming off a cliff somewhere during this time of coronavirus.

Part of enlightenment is the capacity to engineer your life enough for it to actually work for you.

I spent a lot of time growing up being bludgeoned by the practicality of my father and my mother who survived both the Great Depression (my father graduated High School in 1934) and World War II where my father having already served in the Marine Air Corps. Reserves from 1934 until 1937 as a hellcat biplane gunners along with his older brother on weekends. So, they could be in the reserves and fly in planes on weekends in the reserves and work as electricians at their father's business during the week and get paid for both while enjoying flying in biplanes. The yellow biplane is I believe what he flew in from 1934 until 1937. Then during World War II since he and his brother were married they were electricians building Liberty Ships in Seattle, Washington because they had already served in the military from 1934 to 1937.

So, the point of all this is just to say that being enlightened is a part of being practical and kind both to yourself and all other beings as well. What is the most important thing a person needs to regarding enlightenment?
