Safe in Mt. Shasta

Great Weather for Traveling by the way! The Traveling Gods have been with us so to speak. We had at least 3 full days of sunlight in Portland and then when we were ready to leave and head south back to Mt. Shasta the weather was sunny with a few light puffy clouds the whole way with 72 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit the whole way south. Not only that our youngest daughter spent several hours talking to us on our hands free phone set up in the truck which made the day go quicker at least for me. I drove all the way to Ashland before I was ready to be spelled by my wife who drove then from Ashland to Mt. Shasta. We were going to visit a son of a friend but he is an accountant and the taxes have been moved to May 15 which is coming up within a week or two so he couldn't get free to visit us during the day while we were traveling. Great Trip so far! There are always unexpected events on trips but then again what is an adventure but a difficult situation well managed.

And who among us doesn't need something other than trying to find the latest Netflix movie or series to watch because we are afraid to get Covid?

So, if you and your significant other are both vaccinated it's time to travel now before the Brazil variants and the India Variants hit here really hard and wipe out whole unvaccinated families and put them in the hospital like they are doing now in India especially. In South America where there are less hospitals people are just dying at home more.

We should all be very grateful that at least we all are getting vaccinated here in the U.S. so hopefully we don't have to lose more than about 600,000 people before July or August and maybe a million by this time next year. The people who are going to die are mostly unvaccinated now worldwide.
