But, it wouldn't have been possible unless all the adults were vaccinated like they were. So, every adult we visited and everyone with them including their adult children that we saw were all vaccinated to be as safe as possible to gather with.
They now expect 200,000 new Covid Cases a day by late August or early September among unvaccinated people here in the U.S. But, because most people over 50 are 85% vaccinated now here in the U.S. most people might not die. So, if people die now mostly it will be people between the ages of zero and 50 years old who die.
Also, the Delta Virus is attacking people under 30 a lot mostly because the average age of people in India IS around 30 years old. So, this variant is attacking a much younger crowd which is putting many children and adults unvaccinated under 30 in the hospital now. And even if they survive it they might have Long Covid which could be a lifelong illness or series of illnesses doctors now say.
So, not to prepare for years of dealing with Covid now is to be unrealistic here on earth.
This is the unfortunate truth given all present variables here on earth.
This trip we had planned to go to Las Vegas originally but over time when people started going into the hospital en masse all over the country that were unvaccinated we realized this was a bad idea especially because our 7 year old grandson was going with us and there is no vaccination available to him likely until December 2021 or January 2022. Then we were going to fly my son and his wife and grandson to the Grand Canyon on a helicopter because his wife and son have not seen the Grand Canyon yet. But, all that had to be eliminated out of practicality to make sure everyone stays out of the hospital this year.
