a year ago 100,000 cases a day would mean that 2% or more of those would die

So, that would have meant a year ago at least 2000 people would be dying per day. However, because 1/2 of the people are vaccinated the numbers actually dying are only around 358 or something like that per day. So, you can see how much the vaccinations help.

Because this means that at least 1500 people a day are not dying every day because they were vaccinated now here in the U.S.

However, in most of the world they are losing still the 2000 people per day per 100,000 tested cases or more because of a lack of health care and vaccinations most places right now.

I was reading how in Asia shipments of vaccinations are being held up at gunpoint to be given to the families of the robbers because the situation is so desperate in many places in the world now.

The other interesting thing is that the CDC says that 100,000 people a day is wrong because that is only the people being tested and have said a better number of people being infected per day is about 1 million people per day here in the U.S. So, that likely means the number dying should be higher too by 10 times as well.
