Why?
8 months later getting your booster may or may not be enough for someone under 50 years old. However, the older you are, getting your booster within 5 to 6 months after your last booster might be better.
Some people are also telling vaccination places that they didn't get vaccinated before (whether they did or not) as a way of getting early boosters. So, this is one way that people are protecting themselves.
The more you study about the effects of various boosters worldwide (especially Pfizer and Moderna) the better off you will likely be long term too.
Also, you want to be REALLY covered booster wise between the months of December 2021 and March 2022. Why?
Because in the Spanish flu in 1918 through 1920 the 2nd winter was at least 1/2 as bad as the first winter regarding infections and deaths and we lost 600,000 people just in the U.S. and at least and 50 million all over the earth those 2 years.
And the Spanish Flu epidemic is the closest thing we ever had (within around 100 years) to what we are experiencing now worldwide with Covid-19.
The good news is that we are instead of losing 2000 people dying daily we are only losing around 550 people per day on average. The main reason we are not losing those extra 1500 people per day is vaccinations. In other words the reason we aren't losing the extra 1500 people per day is those people are now vaccinated so they are alive instead of being dead every day.
