Coronavirus reminds me of the 1950s a lot

It's true the 1950s were much better than World War II so everyone was relieved because it was relatively much better than during world war II.

However, the death rates were about like they are now from Coronavirus spread among many things like Polio, whooping cough, accidental deaths, heart attacks from bad diets too high in fats and cholesterol etc. , no seatbelts yet in cars etc. etc. etc.

So, in this way right now with Covid reminds me a lot of the 1950s when children and adults died a whole lot.

Now it is Covid and drug overdoses and other accidental deaths that we are facing here in the U.S. and worldwide.

I'm thinking the world population year on year here on earth likely is decreasing just like our life expectancy has decreased here in the U.S. by 1 1/2 to 2 years in the last 2 years time.

And when you combine scenes like I just saw of flooding in Tennessee where 16 people are dead and 61 missing when you see cars and semis pushed through houses by the flooding there you also see how global Climate change (presently in the form of Hurricane Henri) is killing people or destroying their lives and property worldwide too.

So, I'm thinking Covid combined with serious Climate Crises worldwide will likely continue to reduce humans on earth in increasing numbers throughout this century and beyond.

I think we need to think about how we keep the capacity to grow and transport food and how we keep technology and governments intact about now worldwide or eventually technology and governments will eventually all be gone from the attrition of pandemics and Climate crises worldwide.
