Why?
It's very important to be grateful for what you do have in these times so that you actually have a way to survive them. If you have nothing to be grateful for why are you still alive at all?
Stress, psychological stress of these times affects people not only mentally but also physically. So, realizing you have to compensate for the stress you are going through is important to actually survive these times.
How does one go about this?
By being present all the time even if your feelings you want to run away from. Experiencing your feelings "whatever they are" might be important to surviving whatever is happening in your life.
IF you run away too much from your feelings it can manifest in physical health problems.
For example, when I was young I used to run away from my problems. When I got beyond about 22 to 25 I found I started to run towards my problems simply because I realized that if I didn't deal with problems when they were small that they would start to completely destroy my life. So, I realized that the only way to survive was to face my problems when they were small enough to still survive. So, I developed a strategy of running towards my problems instantly whenever I first realized that they were problems. This is how I have survived all these years all the way to 73 years old so far. It allowed me to have a family and raise my children and stay in all their lives ongoing and start businesses to support them as they grew up.
So, being grateful for the good you have in your lives will allow you to survive all this we are going through now. And facing your problems one by one allows you to continue to survive and take care of your children and having a good life ongoing as long as possible for you and your family and your friends.
