Even in California, you see masks in bigger coastal cities but not out in the country

 Why is this?

People in the country might feel they are safe from Covid even when they are not. When there are less people this is often the case in any one area and the people there just don't take masks seriously enough to not get infected.

For example, when I went into the Subway in Mt. Shasta I was the ONLY person in there wearing a mask including the girls working there and there were 12 to 15 people in there including workers. I always now wear a KN-95 mask that filters out 95% of all air particulates when I go indoors anywhere but my own house by the way. You can buy them online for about $1 to $1.50 a mask if you are interested and some people wash them and reuse them if they are careful.

A friend recently said to me that there were 600 new covid Cases in one day in Ashland, Oregon and at least 30 that day that he knew of in Siskiyou county. He said that concerts in Mt. Shasta and Ashland had been super spreader events and many people were sick and in the hospital both places. And he knew of a couple of people who might not make it.
