My daughter doesn't want to hear depressing news

It was interesting to hear her talk about this as a 25 year old and it's true it is a valid point that I should let people know about telling them something before I blurt out some news to them.

However, from my point of view sharing news is sort of like defining a problem that some people are having. When you define a problem properly then solutions: Good bad or indifferent will arise from various people.

So, sharing the news with people is mostly about defining problems that people are having and some people watching the news might have solutions or the free time to solve those problems.

For example, right now, Mendecino in California is running out of water. One of the solutions might be to get water trucks delivering water to people there from other locations who don't have any water. There are many ways to solve various different problems people are having all over the world.

This is my point of view about it.

It's true I don't want to depress people with the truth but I like even better people coming up with solutions to save lives in various situations. If I have a solution sometimes I will share my solution to any given problem.

I'm a natural problem solver by nature and in emergencies I tend to be at my best because of my nature and personality. The men in my family have always been this way on my father's side back further than I can remember back to the Civil War and before that. My Great Grandfather was a Northern Army Captain from Kansas for example. But, I never met him because he passed away around 1940 because he was born in the 1840s and fought in the Civil war. I do know that he retired in 1925 when he sold his drug store and that native Americans got the medicines for him when he first started his drug store in the mid 1870s in Kansas.
