This is the problem that I see here.

Another problem is everyone is expecting Putin to attack with Tanks. I don't think this is what he is going to do at all. I think it's all smoke and mirrors. 

Why wouldn't Putin Attack with tanks?

The Soviets learned their lesson with anti-tank shoulder fired missiles in Afghanistan when hundreds of Tanks and Russian soldiers died in Afghanistan in the late 1970s and early 1980s when they were all blown up by Mujahideen and CIA supplied anti-tank shoulder fired missiles.

I don't think Putin is going to use these tanks at all. They are all for show. why? Too many body bags of Russian Soldiers that he would have to answer for.

I see him doing this through assassination and missiles like Drones and missiles so no Russians are lost that he has to answer for regarding dead Russians. The Tanks are only smoke and mirrors. Besides within a week or two or already the ground will be unfrozen and all the tanks will get stuck in the mud and be even more sitting ducks than they are now to anti-tank shoulder fired weapons supplied by the U.S. and other NATO and other nations.

So, expect cyberwarfare, misinformation, Drones, missiles and rockets of various kinds and possibly even jet fighters or bombers or chemical rockets or drones. 

Putin doesn't want Russian Body bags. This you can be sure of. This could cause his own assassination and he knows this. Look what happened to Khrushchev after the Cuban Missile Crisis when his nation believed he had assassinated Kennedy. They removed him from power. He doesn't want to be removed from power the way Khrushchev was.
