I took my mother and then 10 year old daughter to Scotland, England, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and northern Italy through the Swiss Tunnels through the Alps in a motor home I rented in Munich. I picked up my son who was 25 then in 1999 and his friend who had just gotten his physics degree from UCSC. They had been traveling on a Eurail pass through mainland Europe and had already been to England and Scotland before we arrived there. His Friend had spent his Junior year in college abroad with UCSC in Glascow at the University there in Scotland already. So, he had already traveled around Scotland and England a lot in his Junior Year in College.
In 2009 my wife and youngest daughter and older daughter and I went to Paris. At the time I knew nothing about Paris and didn't know it could be one of the most fun places to visit. What I liked about it was the Louvre (even though I couldn't breathe inside and finally had to leave because there is no air conditioning because they are trying to maintain the paintings and don't care if you can breathe or not. (at least then in 2009). And I didn't know how small a painting the Mona Lisa was before this. It is so small it is mind blowing to look at. And there are usually 100 or more people in front of you staring at it too.
But, what I liked the most about Paris was Versailles which was what Walt Disney saw in World War I when he was an ambulance driver then which inspired him to build Disneyland in Anaheim near Los Angeles in 1955. Also, the Eiffel Tower is a remarkable thing too. And taking a tour boat on the Seine River through the middle of Paris is amazing too! And the Moulin Rouge is amazing too!
So, Paris was one of the most amazing places I had ever been along with the Tower of London in London England where the Crown Jewels and all sorts of other things are kept and the Edinburgh Castle is amazing in Edinburgh Scotland too which is the model for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series. She wrote the first book there in Edinburgh I believe of Harry Potter too there.
IF you are into really spiritual vibes then Glastonbury, England where King Arthur and Guinnevere are supposed to be buried near the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey which was the biggest and best Catholic Abbey in England before King Henry the VIII killed the Abbott there and sacked the place because he needed money to run the government then. Most people don't know that this is really what caused the final rift between him and the Catholic church when he killed the Abbott and took all the money from there.
People came there before this from all over the world because of the legends of Arthur and Guinnevere and Merlin by the way. So, Glastonbury for amazing mystical vibes if you are into all that.
It is also the legendary home of the Holy Grail from legends too.
