Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader have reportedly been enjoying their new relationship in total privacy.

The two actors have been “quietly” seeing each other for quite awhile, according to a source who spoke to People. “Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year,” they said. “They met years ago. She’s hosted Saturday Night Live and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie.” Both starred in the Disney+ Christmas movie Noelle in 2019. The insider continued, “They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet. They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She’s really, really happy.”

Hader and his last girlfriend, Rachel Bilson, broke up amicably in July 2020, six months after they first went public with their relationship on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. Hader and Bilson also met on a movie set long before they started dating, co-starring in the 2013 romantic comedy The To Do List. Hader was married to the film’s director, Maggie Carey, at the time. Hader and Carey were married from 2006 to 2018 and share three daughters, 12-year-old Hannah Kathryn, 9-year-old Harper, and 7-year-old Hayley Clementine.

Kendrick has been extremely private about her romantic relationships in the past, but she was previously linked to British cinematographer Ben Richardson who she met while filming Drinking Buddies in 2013. The pair worked together on 2014’s Happy Christmas, as well as 2017’s Table 19. It’s unclear when they broke up, but Kendrick said in a 2020 interview with The Sydney Morning Herald that when it comes to relationships she is “just so happy that I’m clearer now about what I will accept from people in my life.” She added, “The real arc that we wanted was to show how we learn from each relationship. Even though our relationships end, it doesn’t mean they are complete failures. People come into your life and you grow and they change you, and what you learn from them might be really positive or it might be negative.”
