Though it's true that this might be 1 to 5 years away (If Putin stays in power without being assassinated or removed from power before this) I think Great Britain needs to prepare to Blow up the Chunnel in one or more places where it cannot easily be repaired. One way might be to simply flood the Chunnel with sea water as a last resort. This way Putin cannot drive his tanks through the Chunnel to London.
He will be much more vulnerable if he has to put them on ships and float them across the English Channel.
NOTE:
If you have never been on the Chunnel (I know about it but flew across from London to Munich instead when I went there in 1999. Later in 2009 on my next trip to mainland Europe I flew first to Amsterdam From San Francisco and changed planes and flew to Paris, France with my wife and two daughters. We stayed in Paris this time and took the TGV which is the high speed Train to Nice, France then on the Cote D'Azure or French Riviera. I think Cote D'Azure just means the Azure Sea because the water there is very very deep blue in color. You can drive a car either way through the Chunnel from England to France either way or you can I believe take a train through there too either direction at this point. They dug it under the English Channel from England to France.
