I started out with an IBM clone PC in 1987. It's also true however, I also owned a 4k TRS-80 from Radio Shack in 1978 that I bought then for 800 dollars too. I taught my children to program their own video games with it in the Basic Programming language then. But, whenever you turned off the computer all data was lost so you stored it on Cassette tapes of whatever programs you had written before. So, once you created Basic programs you reloaded this back onto the TRS-80 every time you turned it on because it only had 4K to begin with. Also, it was a black and white CRT Screen as well.
I had become a computer programmer and a computer operator starting in 1967 and 1968 in College and worked for the Glendale Board of education as a computer Tech working on their IBM 1620 computer that the city owned then which was a mainframe that predated the IBM 360 series which became the workhorse for business and universities for several decades. But, only NASA and DARPA had computer chips then so everything was done in Batch sorting which is very tedious. Without RAM (Random Access Memory) and computer chips everything was very tedious to set up and when programming even one comma out of place in a 25 foot printout could cause a programming disaster. So, like I said this could be very tedious working in a field so exacting before troubleshooting programs using Ram and computer chips were invented or available at all.
But, the reason why I switched to Macbook Pro laptops is I got tired of IBM clone PCs crashing and losing information with viruses and bugs.
If a Macbook pro ever crashes it is serious and you have to take it in likely to get it repaired. So, when a computer doesn't crash at all like if it is a macbook pro you can get more done and not constantly lose information and programming during a IBM Clone crash.
However, if you are a gamer you likely want an IBM Clone still because they are still better for gaming than Apple products. But, anything else you are likely better with Apple computer products.
And people serious into gaming often buy desktop computers so they can customize them to the tee themselves. My son has been building his own gaming computers now for years from scractch often by buying custom parts through Amazon Prime because then you have free shipping for all parts you buy through them building your own desktop.
Since working on a laptop often isn't worth it because all the parts are squeezed into such a small area it is better to let robotics or people with very small hands put together these laptops.
First I bought IBM Clone Laptops in the early 2000s and then I finally switched over to Macbook Pro laptops in 2005 and I still have my 2009 Macbook pro laptop and it worked fine until this last year or so when the software couldn't update anymore.
My older daughter helped me buy a 2015 Macbook pro laptop from an Apple store in our area and I'm probably ready to buy another Macbook pro laptop.Because of my age I prefer a 15 inch screen because it is easier to see and to read off of and because you can also enlarge the print easier with a big screen if you want to as well.
I used to use Firefox as a browser but then I found it became incompatible with the operating system at blogger.com (blogspot) where I have this website through so I switched to Chrome because Google created the operating system for Blogspot (blogger.com) as well as Chrome and I found them more compatible to work together this way. No browser is perfect for all situations you just need to find a browser that works with you website to begin with.
It's important to check how your website loads in your browser and on your smartphone because many people will access your website on their smartphone in addition to computers and Ipads etc.
