very windy tonight: We likely will see many more trees go down by morning: it's sort of a repeat of last night with this new storm

A friend of mine said it was going to rain 10 to 12 inches in the next week in Mt. Shasta. I was surprised because if you know anything about snow at all it's about 1 foot of snow for every inch of rain that falls at altitude.

So, what that means is that above 4500 to 5000 feet you are going to see (12 feet of snow) on top of whatever is there already?

So, as crazy as it is of what is happening in northern califronia, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, Santa Barbara, Mt. Shasta within less than a month or so will likely have about 20 feet of snow it this sort of thing keeps up that is happening now.(But, of course this would be above 4500 to 5000 feet on the mountain. (not in the City).

But, after seeing more than 50 trees down and my neighbors tree about halfway down today it's pretty Crazy here in Coastal California right now. There must have been at least 10 power outages so far this year from falling trees into power lines.

The two longest have been over 24 hours (ended about 1/2 hour ago)  and one New Years even from about 1 pm until 12:45 AM new Years Day. And some neighbors in a nearby city had no power for 5 days or more. That can get expensive around the holidays with all the special foods and leftovers people have in their freezers and refrigerators.
