The Long Term Problem of "Green Hydrogen"

Water is a finite resource here on earth.

If you live somewhere that is in a drought like California or surrounding states the last 20 years you realize what a limited resource water actually is here on earth.

And then you look at the ocean which seems limitless but is not because we presently have 8 billion people who want energy of some form.

In the last Article Australians have found a way to remove Hydrogen from the ocean without treatment.

On the surface this seems like a good idea. However, in the long run it is not.

Why?

Because water is a limited resource here on earth and as you convert that seawater to oxygen and hydrogen (the two components of water) usually through electrolysis (direct current) which can also come from the sun into batteries to make water turn into hydrogen and oxygen you are ending water being in the form of water for all eternity by doing this.

In other words you are reducing the amount of water on earth for everyone to have to drink to sail in the ocean in or in any other form including water moisture in the air.

And what does this reduction in water on earth do?

I cannot really say but the long term projection of this isn't good at all for any living thing here on earth.

However, If you could turn the hydrogen into hydrogen fusion like the sun then we really would have something energy wise because it takes very very little hydrogen to do this.

So, burning Green hydrogen is a really bad long term idea BUT hydrogen fusion is very very efficient and likely wouldn't decrease very much the water levels that exist on earth.

But, if you separate all the oceans into hydrogen and oxygen that water never exists anywhere again.

It's gone forever because it no longer exists in that form of H2O ever again.
