Because many groups of Republican Congresspeople with varying interests are angry with Jordan because of waylaying Scalise and being a part of the group that waylayed McCarthy too it is very likely that opposition to Jordan will grow each ballot. So, he likely will never be the speaker (at least at this juncture) because of Republicans mad at him and the 8 who waylayed McCarthy and then Scalise and for other reasons too.
