If you are looking for a PG kind of Hollywood movie made in England I believe, High Spirits is the best one we have found if you like funny ghosts and Peter O'toole, Beverly De Angelo, Daryl Hannah, and Liam Neeson, and several others. It was made in 1988.
When my wife and I got together in fall of 1994 we started watching it every Halloween as a family tradition. Somehow, waiting a year to see it again it is so well made on multiple levels of funny, ghosts, Halloween and good acting that it has been a pleasure to watch it every year for about 15 or more years now on Halloween. Luckily, this year our daughter's Halloween Dance and also the Halloween Party we were going to was on Friday night so we got to watch it Saturday night as the Trick or Treater's arrived. What fun!
So, Saturday night we watched Hocus Pocus with Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker and then we watched our regular, High Spirits. Even though she has seen it every year, our 13 year old fell asleep watching it but wanted to see the part she missed and so watched that part Sunday.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
