Trump sending 'message' that Kim can 'understand': Tillerson

President Trump
can't get anything done in Congress, and he's real upset.
Trump's had 200 days with a Republican House and Senate and, save
Neil Gorsuch, zero big legislative victories. The biggest flop, the failure of a weirdly named "
skinny repeal" of Obamacare by one vote, came last month.
Still,
you know what maybe won't help Trump's chances in Congress? Attacking
Mitch McConnell, the guy Trump needs most to get anything done
in Congress. So that's, of course,
just what Trump did today.
Bold strategy, Mr. President. Let's see if it pays off.

Trump to McConnell, in caveman voice: 'Why not done?'
It
started on Tuesday with McConnell, who said Trump's "excessive
expectations" stem from him having "not been in this line of work
before." Dan Scavino, a top Trump aide,
tweeted back on Tuesday: "More excuses. (McConnell) must have needed another 4 years — in addition to the 7 years — to replace Obamacare."
Trump
chimed in hours later: "After 7 years of hearing Repeal & Replace, why not done?"
Why
not done? Because the GOP holds just a two-seat majority in the Senate,
leaving little room for the inner-party turmoil Trump fuels. So
berating McConnell, who's well-respected in his party, might not be
wise. Need to confirm a nomination? Trump needs McConnell. Need to pass
basically any legislation? Trump needs McConnell. You get it. But does
Trump?
Huh: The FBI raided the home of Trump's campaign chair
FBI agents conducted
a pre-dawn raid the home of Paul Manafort,
Trump's former campaign chair, one day after he testified before
senators in July. Agents sought documents tied to the Russia
investigation involving Trump's associates, per the Washington Post.
We're sure it was all a misunderstanding. 👀
Rex Tillerson: Don't worry about getting nuked when you sleep, America!
Trump's promise yesterday to rain "
fire and fury" on an increasingly hostile and nuclear North Korea flooded the Internet
with Americans worried about World War III.
But Uncle Rex Tillerson, the secretary of state and platonic ideal of a
guy from Texas named "Rex Tillerson," dropped by the U.S. territory of
Guam on Wednesday to tell us not to get our boots all up in our
britches. (That's a Texas saying, right?)
“Americans should sleep well at night,” Tillerson said in Guam. Also on Wednesday: North Korea announced
it's planning to fire missiles at Guam.
