It reminded me of being a young adult in the late 1960s and early 1970s. (I was 21 in 1969). So, I remember meeting people in college that sort of thought in this direction. Of course they were one end of the political spectrum. But in college in those times politics were very diverse because political correctness hadn't strangled college campuses yet or muzzled free thought yet in our nation or around the world. Then all people were allowed to have as individualistic opinion as possible even when they almost died for that opinion to the left or to the right. This isn't the case on college campuses anymore. Diversity no longer exists like it did then on campuses in the U.S. for extreme leftists or rightists. The lack of useful and real debate makes all people less informed and therefore more ignorant as a direct result. And Ignorance is dangerous to the survival of our democracy long term. This is a very useful movie to see to better understand those times in America in order to prevent more college students being shot by U.S. soldiers or police on college campuses in the future like they were at Kent state and other places then.
