If you want to understand the back story on all this here it is. Iran is trying to overthrow the government of Saudi Arabia through Yemen. So, for Iran, Yemen is not the prize it is the overthrow of the government of Saudi Arabia which Iran considers it's primary enemy (besides Israel) in the Middle East. So, you have an alliance of sorts now between Saudi Arabia and Israel against Iran. So, both Israel and Saudi Arabia see their fight with Iran as a fight to the death.
