New California Ghost Towns?

Little towns like "Lake of the Woods" California and many others could become basically "Ghost towns" by this summer because there likely won't be any water there for people to use unless they truck it in.

However, my father when we were building his retirement home from 1968 until around 1980 when he retired put up a 1200 gallon tank and had water trucked in by tanker (because this is what everyone did in that part of the desert then). Eventually, before he retired he asked a special dispensation from the water district to get piped in water because most people there were part time (weekend) residents or retired and were happy with their gravity feed 1200 gallon tanks that they had filled once ever month or couple of weeks depending upon their water demand. However, he was the only one asking for and being granted a special dispensation for his section of land for his 2 1/2 acres because my father liked having an organic garden and this took more water than the 1200 gallons would make practical to water this organic food garden of grapes, tomatoes, fig trees and fruit trees of all kinds in the desert.

I think you will begin to see people who are serious about living in various droughted areas in California and the west paying someone to deliver 1200 gallons at a time to them and seeing more people set up the 1200 gallon tanks on top of roof high structures for gravity feed water here in California now.
