Putin would not tell you he is depopulating the world of his enemies. He would tell you he is simply returning Russia to it's greatness to pre-1991 Soviet Standards and to the Russian Empire of the 1800s up to Czar Nicholas around the turn of the century before Lenin and Stalin and the rest.
But, in fact, he has already caused the deaths of 250,000 Chechens in Chechnya and likely an equal amount of Sunnis in Syria and Northern Iraq by his policies.
It started when he was afraid of Arab Spring and when it started to spread into Syria he told Assad that he along with Iran (both allies of Putin) would militarily prevent Assad's overthrow by sending tanks, helicopters and other advanced weaponry to Assad, which he has.
But, now over 250,000 Syrians have died on all sides, and now ISIL is killing all Shias, Christians, Yazidis and every other minority including moderate Sunnis in syria and northern Iraq. So, we are at a point where we can truthfully say, "There are no professing Christians, Shias, Yazidis left alive who live in ISIL controlled areas." This is a powerful thing to say given the history there of the last 2000 years in Syria and Iraq. In other words "ISIL has rendered all Christians, Shias, Yazidis and any other minorities extinct in their territories they run." There may be people lying to the ISIL people about their beliefs to stay alive so they aren't beheaded. But, this is all that's left in ISIL territories now.
So, we can say for sure now that Putin is responsible(partly) for at least 500,000 deaths now in Chechnya and Syria and Northern Iraq during the last 12 years or so.
In Ukraine we can also blame Putin's policies for any deaths that have occurred now in Ukraine or Crimea and any to come in the future as well.
Now, we are hearing about Putin using Gold turned into cash that he is putting into extreme rightest groups (millions towards each of them) in Europe which brings back a very monied Hitler kind of experience once again for Europeans. And Europeans are going through a recession at the same time too so this is very bad for them on multiple levels because there isn't really the wealth to fight Putin's sort of Nazi game he is playing now in trying to become the "Ultra Conservative" leader in Europe as well as Russia.
So, even though Putin might say in public that he is not depopulating the world, in reality he is depopulating the world of Sunnis (up to 500,000 of them already) and any Ukrainians that Don't want to be Russian ruled whether they are in Ukraine or Crimea or elsewhere in Europe.
So, like I said here already at least 500,000 people have already died in Chechnya and Syria and Northern Iraq already because of Putin's policies of the last 12 years already.
How many millions more will or have already died from starvation or torture or rape or war around the world now expressly because of Putin's policies? And how many more will die and keep dying as long as Putin remains in power?
Though I understand why Putin is so popular with the Russian people, it is also scaring the rest of the world to death because we see all this is going to more than likely result in millions and millions more deaths around the world in the near and far future.
Though European and American and other countries sanctions around the world against Russia are working now, they are not working directly against Putin but only the poor and the middle class in Russia who are losing their jobs, their businesses and their livelihoods one by one.
And who are they going to be angry at? Because no news of why the U.S. and Europe have been sanctioning Russia reaches most Russians they are going to be very enraged against Europe and the U.S.
So, when Putin says to his people in the next few years "Let's invade Europe and take them all over because they have been bad to us!" The Russian people's anger will have been manipulated into doing just this.
So, this is the danger the world faces right now.
