We sometimes put ourselves down. Have you ever heard "He or she is their own worst enemy".
This sometimes is true of most of us.
However, once you realize that you have to make friends with yourself to stay alive and to be happy all this can change.
You have to start by forgiving yourselves for whatever you have done in your lives and to start over. Change your ways and start having compassion for yourself as well as integrity.
In other words you have to be at the very least honest with yourself so you can move on and be a success in your life.
What is success?
To me, success is feeling at peace enough to go to sleep at night knowing I didn't harm anyone or anything in any way that day, and that I didn't harm myself either.
So, compassion for yourself is the key to your success in life. You have to have compassion and integrity with yourself to really succeed at anything which eventually leads to a long and healthy life.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
