For me, the important thing about this is maybe now less gay people will be killed for being different or maybe less of them will kill themselves too.
For me, that is the big victory here because as I was growing up if someone was gay (especially a man) he was often killed by someone or a group of people if he was found out.
Strangely enough, most women who were gay were not killed but instead they were usually teased to death if they were found out. Or people just didn't care about that as much as men being gay somehow. I'm not entirely sure why it was this way.
However, I see the problem of many more backward and traditional people thinking more than ever that America has completely gone insane. And this could cause more battles and wars and terrorism than ever as well as create thousands of new terrorist converts when people are told this.
So, inside the U.S. this likely is a good thing. Outside the Free World this will only add to terrorist converts unfortunately.
But, for us here likely it will at the very least save lives (except those who kill each other in divorce).
Just like Heterosexuals.
It's a Brave New World we live in. That's for sure.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
