107,112, 111: Today, tomorrow and the next days predicted highs in Redding, California

In Mt. Shasta it is presently 75 going on up to about 93 today with 102 predicted here on Friday. This is pretty warm for this early in the year here. I was amazed at all the people dying in Pakistan and thought it was interesting that just after so many died in India in May from the heat that between 700 and 800 people then died in Pakistan from the heat in June.

I think everyone around the world sort of has to be very on guard regarding the heat now. You need to be aware of what you can personally withstand and make plans of how you are going to survive if the power or water goes off where you live. Often, in many countries (including the U.S.) at times, the power grids blow out and shut down automatically before new parts of grids are added to them for the emergencies. So, wherever you are on earth try to prepare for not having power or water for you to survive with so if it suddenly goes out you don't just drop dead trying to cope with it in a panic which only is going to make things worse.

One way is to keep a certain amount of water available in a tub or sink or bucket for you to rely on in an emergency. Another way is to have ice in a refrigerator so you can take one piece and either put it on the back of your neck or your wrist to cool your blood, especially the blood going to your brain as the brain is the most sensitive to the heat. And once you are overheated past a certain point your brain won't work for you to make good decisions. So, you must do whatever it takes to keep your brain working through the heat so you don't just die. This is now the reality all over the world in these times.
