I find this usually falls into two classes:
1. What you need to believe to choose to stay alive. and
2. What you believe because you are able to prove it to yourself
When you are more of a child the first one is the most valuable but as you grow up and if you aren't just so completely traumatized by your life that you can't search for the real truth, you go to step 2.
Step 2 is sort of like learning to drive a car. AT first you aren't sure if you can do it but over time you develop methodology to actually come up with provable scientific truths like: Yes. I can drive a car without killing or maiming myself or anyone else. So, proving things to yourself is sort of like learning to drive a car in this sense. You have to do it to believe it and then you know.
Know the truth and the truth will set you free.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
