I was able to watch the whole video but I was only able to get a short clip of it here at Weather.com
just before his car sunk into 6 feet of water after having taken him 1/2 mile sideways while his car slowly filled with water and luckily it almost turned over with him inside it before he got into the tree. When his car hit the tree he climbed out the window and up into the tree before he watched his car completely sink while he watched while being grateful to be 20 feet up from the water in a tree. He had to hang onto the tree for 3 to 5 hours before he was rescued.
However, he survived this situation because he had a working cell phone and finding a tree to hang onto. So, a cell phone allowed him to be rescued in time for him to be actually saved and to survive. And since he had a smartphone he was able to video the adventure and ordeal that he survived.
