The people who follow and support Trump basically want things to go back the way they were before around 1960. These are mostly all White people who are scared by all the changes since the 1950s and 1960s. A lot of people are scared in the U.S. and around the world. However, I don't think going back now to how things were before 1964 for white people is productive. But, historically this sort of thing happens over time.
For 70 years the U.S. has been on a progressive Bent and now this is the reaction of White Republicans to this 70 years of progress.
So, to some degree this was to be expected, especially because of ISIS and Radical Groups who say they are connected in some strange way to Islam even though they are sort of a minority sort of in the same way Timothy MC Veigh was a minority of White Supremacist Christians here in the U.S. having blow up hundreds of people in Oklahoma in the 1990s.
So, we are living through very strange times, but historically this was to have been expected right about now simply because so many White Republican Americans are terrified of all the changes in the world.
However, Everyone is terrified at the changes we now observe worldwide. However, these are strange times for all of us and possibly no human will even survive this century.
It's all how you express your anger and displeasure with all the changes in the end.
So, Will Trump extinct the human race now? Unknown.

The last times this crazy were from the stock market Crash in 1929 until the Soviet Union Collapsed around 1990. So, hold on, it's going to be a very wild ride on this roller coaster, and none of us may survive so think carefully what you are going to do next.
