Is not at all what I thought it was at 15 or 17 years of age when I first embarked upon this quest.
Over time, I realized enlightenment was infinitely valuable, more than any career or quest because it is about all life in the past, present and future of the entire universe. Enlightenment is not just for yourself, it is for all life in the past, the present and the future.
Because Enlightenment literally encompasses all knowledge and wisdom that has ever been thought about or ever will be thought about. So, as long as you are learning new things you are becoming enlightened.
And When you join infinite enlightenment with right mindful compassion and actions and thoughts then you have civilizations without limit both before and after you became or are becoming enlightened. A Love of learning is becoming enlightened. Helping someone who needs your help is taking both you and them to enlightenment. Everything positive that you think or do is not only taking you to enlightenment but also all life around you in the past, present and future as well.
People think often in linear terms but this is not the way life really is.
Life is a continuum. Whatever you do affects permanently the past, the present and the future. We are NOT locked in time. This is only an appearance. We are literally everywhere and nowhere simultaneously. And understanding we are both infinite and non-existent simultaneously is the paradox of life.
Embrace your infinity while you also embrace your non-existence. Only by doing both will life make any sense at all
Only by embracing the paradox of life at each and every point of the past, present and future can life actually make any sense at all.
We are Being and we are NON-Being and if we are compassionate to ourselves in every moment past, present and future then we are also compassionate to all others in the past, present and future because in the end there is no real way to separate one from the other.
