25% of Buddhists Believe in God

For example, I believe in God and Jesus and I have been a mystical Christian my whole life and my parents were Christian mystic Ministers and yet I also am a Tibetan Buddhist at the same time.

How is this possible?

Because to Christians, Buddhism is a philosophy and not a religion so there is no conflict just like there wouldn't be a conflict of a Christian getting Accupuncture or practicing Hatha Yoga. Same thing.

Many Christian Ministers and priests are Buddhists as well for this reason as well.

Why?

Each of them and I  have our own reasons for this. But, for me, it is mostly about compassion.

Philosophically for me, it is obvious that Jesus' forgiveness came from Buddha's compassion translated into the middle Eastern Cultures of Jesus' times.

Jesus was trying to get people to stop taking revenge and destroying the lives of generations through this ongoing revenge for thousands and thousands of years.

So, he taught forgiveness to counteract "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" which is the code of Hammurabi
